CHARITABLE DONATIONS If it wasn’t for the true heroism of Ollie the Octopus, I Luz Azul, would not be here, to say Ollie saved my life when I fell overboard after ingesting one too many Psilocybin sausages with my father in our fishing boat off the coast of Pico island in the Azores, is an understatement. Like a snake, I shed my old life when I sank below the waves and emerged from the surf a new being a week later. There is not an invertebrate on earth that is more selfless and giving not only to his own species of cephalopod, but to all life forms, than Ollie the Octopus; whenever he isn’t rescuing Pookas from evil Purrgatorians, he’s crystallizing his visions in acrylic on canvas to benefit a bevy of charitable organizations; from The Babies Heart Fund, to Mount Sinai Hospital’s Department of Pediatric Oncology, to Lime Disease and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Ollie is there to lend all eight tentacles and help raise money for a worthy cause.
